Philosophy

OMNI’s philosophy is simple, children between the ages of 0-10 are most impressionable and should receive frequent cognitive stimulation from birth, be saturated with information, should be given opportunities to ask questions, explore their environments, and expound on previous knowledge in an intense yet compassionate manner. Students should be viewed as individuals who can make contributions and gain and share knowledge from each other. Children should not be “talked at” but talked to in conversation to help guide them through the learning process. OMNI is a catalyst for educational change in its philosophy, its implementation, and assessment. We believe that foreign language and cultural exposure is the key to global citizenship. Children who have early exposure to foreign languages are not only more critical and analytical in their thinking but more accepting and respectful of cultural differences. We believe that building on children’s knowledge at their pace and not a preconceived pace set by others promotes accelerated learning and requires rigorous curriculums that challenge students from the onset. We believe the most effective way to teach a child is to know them on all developmental domains, that “education” is not solely academic but learning involves the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development that sums up who we are, why we are, and who we will become. Children do not learn in isolation of these aspects but collaboratively. We’ve created the vision of OMNI with the gifts of our children in mind integrating all key components for well-rounded, well versed children…..in multiple languages.
